Edmonds Elder are looking for an experienced Creative Copywriter to join us – combining communications experience and copywriting skills with a creative approach to social first copy and video scripts.
We bring together strategic thinking, creative brilliance and cutting-edge audience targeting, with a team that is made up of the very best the industry has to offer – and we’re currently looking for someone with the same thinking to come on board.
Working as part of our creative team and with our client account teams, you’ll help to interpret briefs and develop incredible copy for campaigns that resonate with different audiences – and drive decisive action.
You will work at the heart of bringing a brand’s tone of voice to life – with an exciting range of clients from FTSE 100 and 250-listed companies to tech unicorns and membership organisations. Ours is a fast-paced environment and we pride ourselves on delivering the very best work for our clients.
What We’re Looking For
-An excellent writer, comfortable working across a variety of channels, including social platforms
-The ability to build an instantly identifiable brand tone that is consistent with the clients you’re writing for
-A strong communicator, with experience in developing copy for a range of objectives – from driving engagement to building reputation
-Someone who can multitask across a range of different projects, clients and brand voices – and isn’t phased by a broad brief or by specific copywriting requirements
-Someone who enjoys jumping on creative and innovative trends – and can apply them to a range of projects from consumer campaigns to corporate story-telling
-Someone to slot into the Edmonds Elder team, go above and beyond, get involved with one another’s clients and projects, and who is not afraid of a challenge!
-2 years+ of solid copywriting experience, either in-house or agency side
-Ability to write good, clear copy in a variety of styles (with accurate spelling and grammar)
-Social media copywriting (scripts, captions, post copy – across Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Linkedin)
-Video script copywriting
-Proven experience and a clear understanding of best practice for copy across various critical touch-points (social media graphics, accompanying post copy, video, animation, websites, landing pages etc.)
-Understanding of writing for a range of communications objectives – from driving engagement to reputation building
-Presentation skills and creativity – able to present and drive projects from concept through to execution
-Highly organised with the ability to work calmly under pressure, delivering high quality work on time
-Ideally educated to degree level, in a discipline related to the role
-Help define and develop tone of voice for a wide variety of clients
-Write engaging copy for creative campaigns that span social, video, websites, landing pages and more
-Support on developing written aspects for creative assets – including scripts, captions and campaign lines
-Work with our account teams and within the creative team to develop campaign ideas
-Support our Senior Creative with creative ideation and concept development
